The Sensory Processing Disorder Foundation invites you to organize, support, or attend a SENSATION CELEBRATION to raise awareness of sensory challenges and funds in support of SPD research, education and advocacy. Contact Parent Coordinator JoEllen Nikkel for details or to volunteer.

You can organize a SENSATION CELEBRATION that suits your interests and organizing talents, whatever they may be.

  • "Ask Dr. Lucy" - an educational event like nothing we've ever done before! Dr. Lucy Jane Miller answers questions about SPD in a live web-based broadcast. Click here to see Facts and Formats for holding a Sensation Celebration that includes “Ask Dr. Lucy.” OR –
  • 30 laps (or miles!) for 30 years – a community race or challenge event for SPD awareness. OR –
  • 30 bowls (or bikes or chairs or the object of your choice) – a theme auction featuring the work of local artists transforming the object of your choice. OR –
  • $30 for 30 years – a fundraising house party featuring personal stories, sensational information, the SPD Foundation video, and birthday fun. OR –
  • The 30-for-30 event YOU create!

Organizers are encouraged to schedule their SENSATION CELEBRATIONS during National Sensory Awareness month in October but are free to hold their events any time during our anniversary year of 2010 if a different month is more suitable in their area.
